Alarming fire in the parking lot of Mall of Istanbul
A fire that broke out in the open parking lot of the Mall of Istanbul in Başakşehir spread to a grassy area. The fire, which caused panic, was extinguished by fire crews.

The fire broke out around 20:30 in the open parking lot of the Mall of Istanbul in the Ziya Gökalp neighborhood of Başakşehir.
According to the information obtained, the fire that started in the open parking lot grew in a short time and spread to a grassy area.
The fire in the parking lot and the grassy area also spread to trees. Upon notification, fire crews were dispatched. Due to the fire, the side road of the TEM highway was closed to traffic for a while.
After about half an hour of work by the fire crews, the fire was brought under control and extinguished.
The fire, which caused panic, was recorded by citizens' mobile phone cameras. An investigation into the fire, in which there were no injuries or loss of life, is ongoing.
