The incident occurred yesterday morning at Yıldırım Beyazıt Primary School, located in the Aşağısoku neighborhood. According to the allegations, the janitor grabbed 9-year-old E.Y. by the throat and assaulted him for an unknown reason while the child was hanging up his coat.

When father İbrahim Yiğit saw his son crying upon returning home in the evening, he became suspicious and asked what had happened. The young child tearfully recounted the incident at school to his family.

Following this, father Yiğit took his son to the police station to file a complaint. The family then went to the hospital and obtained an assault report. The report stated that there was tissue damage to the child's throat. After the incident, the family filed a complaint against the school administration and the janitor.

"WE WERE SHOCKED WHEN WE LEARNED OF THE INCIDENT"

Father İbrahim Yiğit said, "My son went to school in the morning and wanted to hang up his coat when he entered the classroom. The janitor who was there grabbed my son by the neck and assaulted him. Then he pushed my child. After the classroom teacher entered, he picked the child up from the floor. All the students in the class told the teacher about the situation.

The teacher then spoke with the janitor. When he returned to the classroom, he told the students, 'I warned him, he won't do it again.' Later, the teacher, the principal, and the cleaning staff spoke among themselves and tried to cover up the incident. No information was given to us.

They did not mention such a situation to us; they covered it up afterward. At school dismissal, the janitor spoke to my son in a threatening manner, saying, 'Let this stay between us, don't tell anyone.'

The child, out of fear, said, 'Okay, brother, I won't tell.' We were shocked when we learned of the incident. At the police station, we filed a complaint against the cleaning staff, the teacher, and the principal. Afterward, we obtained an assault report. I spoke with the school; they are still trying to cover up the incident, describing the matter as a minor situation. Currently, my child's mental state has deteriorated, and he cannot go to school."
