Argument ends in bloodshed in Osmaniye: Father kills son, injures daughter-in-law and granddaughter

A family argument in the town of Mehmetli, located in the Sumbas district of Osmaniye, has ended in death. According to reports, an argument broke out between 66-year-old Fevzi Topbaş and his 41-year-old son, Aydın Topbaş, in the morning hours for reasons yet unknown.
As the argument escalated, Fevzi Topbaş grabbed a billhook and attacked his son, Aydın Topbaş. In addition to Aydın Topbaş, Fevzi Topbaş’s daughter-in-law, Mehtap Topbaş, and his 14-year-old granddaughter, Ayşe Topbaş, were also injured in the attack.
Upon notification, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Medical personnel determined that Aydın Topbaş had lost his life.
The injured Mehtap Topbaş and Ayşe Topbaş were taken to Kadirli State Hospital for treatment. The suspect, Fevzi Topbaş, has been taken into custody, and an investigation into the incident has been launched.
