An armed attack took place yesterday evening in the Marmara neighborhood of Istanbul's Beylikdüzü district. The hamburger restaurant recently opened by Serhat Doğramacı, winner of the MasterChef Turkey competition, was attacked during the night.
It was learned that the restaurant had opened for service only three days ago.
During the attack, the coffee shop next door, which is reportedly owned by Doğramacı's partners, was also hit by bullets. According to allegations, the business owners had received a phone call from abroad a few days before the incident demanding extortion money. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
