The incident occurred around 01:00 on Libadiye Street in the Ünalan neighborhood of Üsküdar. According to allegations, motorcycle courier Serkan Armağan, who was riding his motorcycle with license plate 34 CYY 747, was attacked by individuals in two cars with whom he had an argument.
Both vehicles, one of which was identified as having the license plate 34 DAT 766, fled the scene after the attack. Upon notification by witnesses to 112, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Police teams have launched an investigation into the incident. Medical teams determined that the injured Armağan had been stabbed in 5 places across both of his legs.
Witness Bayram Koç stated, "We came to the side of our motorcycle courier colleague; unfortunately, the people he argued with in traffic were in two cars. It is said there were 3-4 of them, and bystanders saw it, but by the time the police arrived, no one was left, and there were no witnesses. They not only beat our friend for 15 minutes, but they also stabbed him; there is blood all over the ground. Aside from that, we came here with 20-30 of our colleagues when we heard the news. That is how it happened; the police came and took the license plates. Justice will be served; there was no need for an argument in traffic. You argue, 4-5 people beat a man for hours, and on top of that, you stab him. Everyone has children and families; it shouldn't be like this."
