Author Süha Oğuzertem loses his life in a fire
A fire broke out on the first floor of a 10-story building in Kadıköy. Critic and author Süha Oğuzertem, who was affected by the smoke, lost his life in the fire.

The incident occurred around 20:00 on the first floor of a 10-story apartment building located on Aktepe Street in the Zühtüpaşa neighborhood.
Citizens who saw the smoke rising reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Fire, medical, and police teams were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the intensive efforts of the teams, the fire was brought under control and extinguished before it could spread to other apartments.
Critic and author Süha Oğuzertem, who was learned to be living alone in the house, was seriously injured in the fire. After receiving initial intervention at the scene, Oğuzertem was taken to the hospital. It was learned that despite all interventions at the hospital, Oğuzertem lost his life. An investigation into the fire has been launched.
