Two suspects, one of whom is a woman, have been apprehended for damaging the Atatürk Monument in Kayseri with an axe.

Witnesses who saw two people damaging the Atatürk Monument in Kayseri's Cumhuriyet Square with an axe called the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Police teams arriving at the scene apprehended Y.K. and Z.A. The suspects were taken to the Reşat Vural Police Station.
An examination by police teams and Metropolitan Municipality municipal police personnel revealed 13 impact marks on the monument.
