The flames grew rapidly, creating a layer of black smoke that covered the sky.
Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality fire crews arrived at the scene and began intervening to bring the fire under control.
While security measures were taken in the surrounding area, traffic on the Black Sea Coastal Road began to be directed through a single lane in a controlled manner due to the impact of the smoke.
The fire was largely brought under control following the work of the fire crews, and cooling efforts are continuing.
Meanwhile, while authorities are focusing on the suspicion that the fire, which caused millions of liras in damage, may have been caused by an electrical fault, a comprehensive investigation into the incident has been launched.
