Bridge collapse in Mersin: Accident during debris removal

In the Mut district of Mersin, an unexpected collapse occurred on the bridge located on Prof. Hüseyin Gezer Street in the Pınarbaşı neighborhood. The incident took place while debris from a building that had undergone controlled demolition in the area was being removed with the help of heavy machinery.

Following reports of the collapse, Highway teams were quickly dispatched to the scene. For safety purposes, various signs were placed on the street, and traffic was restricted to a single lane. Teams have begun work to repair the damage to the bridge.
