Building with cracked columns evacuated in Istanbul
A 6-story building in Bahçelievler with cracks in its columns has been evacuated by municipal teams.

Residents of the 6-story building on Birlik 1 Street in the Hürriyet neighborhood notified the municipality, reporting that cracks had formed in the columns, the building was shaking, and the foundation was sinking.
Following the report, Bahçelievler Municipality police and fire department teams were dispatched to the address.
Municipal teams decided to evacuate the building after conducting a preliminary inspection.
It was learned that families residing in 7 of the 8 apartments in the building would spend the night with relatives, while one family would be placed in a hotel by the municipality.
It was stated that a final decision regarding the building, which was constructed in 1986, would be made following detailed tests.
