Bullet from his gun caused his son's death
In the Hizan district of Bitlis, a son sitting across from his father lost his life after the father's gun accidentally discharged while he was performing maintenance on it at home.

The incident occurred in the Karakoyun hamlet of Ürünveren village, located in the Hizan district.
According to the information obtained, while M.Ç. was performing maintenance on his gun at home, the weapon accidentally discharged for reasons yet to be determined.
The bullet from the gun struck his son, E.Ç., who was sitting across from him, in the abdominal area.
E.Ç., who was seriously injured, was taken to Hizan State Hospital by medical teams called to the scene.
After initial intervention there, E.Ç. was transferred to Bitlis Tatvan State Hospital, where he could not be saved despite all medical efforts and lost his life. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
