Burglary operation in Istanbul: 3 women caught in a taxi, 1 million liras worth of jewelry seized
Three women identified as having committed burglaries in Küçükçekmece, Bakırköy, and Beylikdüzü were apprehended in an operation in Avcılar.

Three female suspects have been taken into custody as part of an investigation into the theft of cash, checks, and jewelry from homes in various districts of Istanbul.
Following the burglary incidents in Küçükçekmece, Bakırköy, and Beylikdüzü, teams from the Public Security Branch Office's Burglary Bureau launched an investigation. The identities of the suspects were determined through field and technical surveillance.
Police teams tracked E.C., who was identified as having committed a burglary at a residence in Küçükçekmece, as well as C.Ç. and G.Ç., who were found to have stolen jewelry and cash in Beylikdüzü and Bakırköy.
The suspects were apprehended in an operation conducted on the Avcılar-Haramidere connecting road while fleeing in a commercial taxi following their latest burglary on Wednesday, July 1.
During searches conducted on the women, cash believed to be stolen and a large quantity of jewelry worth approximately 1 million liras were seized. It was reported that the items have been placed under protection to be returned to their owners.
The suspects' criminal records and outstanding warrants were also revealed. It was learned that E.C. has 47 criminal records, while C.Ç. has 238 criminal records, 24 outstanding warrants, and a finalized prison sentence of 10 years and 9 months. G.Ç. was reported to have 40 criminal records, 18 outstanding warrants, and a prison sentence of 9 years and 2 months.
The three suspects, whose procedures at the police station were completed, were referred to the courthouse. It was learned that the moments the suspects entered and exited the buildings were captured on security cameras.
