Poison left by an unidentified person or persons in the Yalıçiftlik neighborhood caused the poisoning of a dog belonging to Gizem Sümer, who had moved to the neighborhood a month ago.

Finding her dog dead, Sümer also found another dead dog and a cat around her home.

During a search of the area, 3 of Sümer's neighbor's dogs were also found poisoned. Three dogs were saved after their owners noticed the situation early and intervened. It was also determined that a cat in the same area had died as a result of poisoning by construction workers.

"THEY POISONED 3 OF MY NEIGHBOR'S DOGS"

Gizem Sümer, whose 6-month-old dog named Yoda died, said, "I just moved to Yalıçiftlik. It has been a month. Unfortunately, I found my dog dead yesterday; it had been poisoned. I also found a dead cat last night. This morning, I found another dead dog above my garden.

They poisoned 3 of my neighbor's dogs. They noticed it and made them drink olive oil. They recovered after vomiting, though one of them was not doing very well.

One of the villagers had told them that he would kill their dogs, but I don't know who did it or how it happened. I will check the cameras, but I don't want other animals to die in this way.

I want to do whatever I can. The Bodrum Municipality Veterinary Affairs Directorate came and took the dead dogs," she said, expressing her reaction to the poisoning of the animals.
