Caught red-handed while slaughtering horse meat
Four suspects were caught red-handed while slaughtering horse meat in an abandoned house in the Konak district of İzmir.

The incident occurred on February 23 in an abandoned house located in the Hilal neighborhood. Acting on a tip-off, teams from the Konak District Police Department caught M.Ö. (42), A.Ö. (24), C.İ. (24), and A.Ö. (16) red-handed while they were slaughtering horse meat at the address. Images from the scene showed pieces of slaughtered horse meat and bones.
Among the detained suspects, A.Ö. (16) was released to their family due to being a minor following police procedures, while the 3 other suspects were released by the court under judicial control conditions.
