Making a statement regarding the incident, Airport Border Administrative Chief Suat Seyitoğlu stated that the injured person was treated on-site and is in good health. The identity of the injured person was not shared with the public.

Seyitoğlu stated that security measures were quickly taken following the ceiling collapse and that the section where the incident occurred was temporarily closed. Emphasizing that there were no disruptions to flight traffic, officials also provided information via the airport announcement systems to ensure passengers did not panic.

Following the collapse, a technical investigation was launched in the relevant area. Airport management announced that inspections would be intensified to ensure the structural integrity of the ceilings and to prevent other potential risks.
