Chain-reaction accident on FSM Bridge: Deaths and injuries reported
On the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in Istanbul, a motorcycle struck a vehicle that had broken down and stopped in the emergency lane in the direction of Anatolia. In the chain-reaction accident, which also involved another motorcycle, one person lost their life at the hospital where they were taken, and three people were injured.

The incident occurred around 21:00 at the entrance of the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge in the direction of Anatolia.
According to the information obtained, a motorcycle driven by M.K. struck the rear of a vehicle driven by A.P., which had stopped in the emergency lane due to a breakdown.
Subsequently, a motorcycle driven by a rider named C.Ç., who was coming from behind, could not slow down in time and became involved in the accident.
In the accident, the driver of the broken-down vehicle, A.P., the motorcycle rider who struck the vehicle from behind, M.K., the other motorcycle rider involved in the accident, C.Ç., and his passenger, M.Y., were injured.
LOST THEIR LIFE AT THE HOSPITAL
Upon notification, teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Bosphorus Bridges Branch were dispatched to the scene.
While police teams ensured safety at the scene, the injured were taken to the hospital by ambulance.
It was learned that M.Y. lost their life at the hospital where they were taken, and the treatment of the other injured individuals is ongoing.
Meanwhile, the moment of the accident was captured by the bridge's security cameras. An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
