A citizen whose spouse received an alert notification on their mobile phone during the 2.5-magnitude earthquake in Avcılar, Istanbul, said, "We went downstairs before we felt the earthquake. We will go back into the house at night. We will be cautious. We will keep the car keys and house keys with us."

According to information received from Kandilli, a 3-magnitude earthquake with its epicenter in Avcılar was recorded at 20:31.
Regarding what they experienced after their spouse received an alert notification on their mobile phone before the earthquake, the citizen said, "My spouse has an earthquake app. The phone started ringing. We went downstairs.
We called our children. We went downstairs before we felt the earthquake.
We will go back into the house at night. We will be cautious. We will keep the car keys and house keys with us. We will go outside in the first instance," they stated.
