Couple dies after entering water claimed to have healing properties
In the Orta district of Çankırı, a couple who entered water claimed to have healing properties died from poisoning caused by gas released with the water.

The incident occurred around noon in the village of Derebayındır, located in the Orta district.
According to the information obtained, the couple, İbrahim (75) and Şerife Akkoç (80), entered and sat in the water emerging from underground, which was claimed to be good for hemorrhoids. Citizens who saw the husband and wife remaining motionless after a while reported the situation to medical teams.
Upon notification, medical teams arrived at the scene and determined that the couple had lost their lives. According to initial findings, it was determined that the couple died due to gas released from underground along with the water.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
