Dispute in Malatya ends in death
A dispute in the Pütürge district of Malatya has resulted in the death of Murat Mengitemur, who was stabbed.

In an incident that occurred around 23:30 last night in the Taşbaşı neighborhood of Malatya's Pütürge district, a dispute between Murat Mengitemur (42) and Mehmet Ece escalated into a fight. During the altercation, Mehmet Ece stabbed Mengitemur.
Following the incident, health and police teams arrived at the scene quickly after reports from local residents. Mengitemur, who was taken to the İnönü University Turgut Özal Medical Center in critical condition, could not be saved despite all medical interventions. Mengitemur's body was transferred to the Malatya Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy.
Mehmet Ece, who fled the scene after the incident, was apprehended by police along with the weapon used in the crime and taken into custody. The investigation into the murder is ongoing.
