Dog dies after being electrocuted in Küçükçekmece, owner slightly injured

In Istanbul's Küçükçekmece district, 21-year-old Can Demir was injured due to an electric shock while out walking his dog. The dog died in the incident.

The incident occurred on Cengiz Street in the Yeni neighborhood. While walking on the sidewalk between a building under construction and a lighting pole, Demir noticed his dog suddenly rolling on the ground.

Demir, who tried to intervene to help his dog, was also electrocuted and sustained minor injuries. Upon notification, police teams and a veterinarian were dispatched to the scene.

While the police took security measures in the area, the veterinarian determined that the dog had died. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
