In a tragic incident in the town of Gümüşgöze, 50-year-old Safiye Aydın fell ill while experiencing deep grief at the funeral of her mother, 76-year-old Havva Kalkan. Aydın, who was weeping by her mother's coffin, suddenly collapsed. She was rushed to Kelkit State Hospital by her relatives, where it was determined that she had suffered a heart attack. However, she passed away despite all medical efforts.
Havva Kalkan had been receiving treatment in Trabzon for some time and passed away last Friday. Kalkan's body was brought to Gümüşgöze, and preparations were made for the funeral prayer. However, the sudden death of her daughter, Safiye Aydın, plunged the family into deep mourning.
The news of Safiye Aydın's death reached her relatives during her mother's funeral prayer. Aydın, who was married and a mother of one, will be laid to rest side-by-side with her mother today following the noon prayer.
