Dry cargo ship experiences engine failure in the Dardanelles
A Vanuatu-flagged dry cargo ship that experienced an engine failure in the Dardanelles was safely towed to Karanlık Liman with the assistance of tugboats.

The 78-meter-long Vanuatu-flagged dry cargo ship named 'IRONHIDE', which was sailing from Bulgaria to Israel, began to drift off Karanfil Burnu in the Dardanelles due to an engine failure.
The ship's captain immediately reported the situation via radio to the Dardanelles Vessel Traffic Services Center Directorate.
Following the incident, the 'Kurtarma-18' and 'Kurtarma-19' tugboats belonging to the General Directorate of Coastal Safety were quickly dispatched to the area.
Other ships passing through the strait were also informed about the failure. The tugboats towed the disabled ship and ensured it anchored safely at Karanlık Liman.
