Earthquake in Hatay

AFAD announced that a 3.9-magnitude earthquake occurred at 00:23 at a depth of 7.19 kilometers in the Karlısu neighborhood of the Antakya district.

The earthquake was felt by citizens living in the city center. According to initial information, no destruction has been reported.

The Hatay Governor's Office also stated in a written statement: "In accordance with the information received from the AFAD Earthquake Department, a 3.9-magnitude earthquake centered in Antakya (Hatay) has occurred. According to initial assessments, there are no negative situations in our province, and no reports have been received by the 112 Emergency Call Center. Developments are being monitored. Respectfully announced to the press and the public."
