Earthquake survivors receive their homes: housing deliveries completed

The delivery of permanent housing continues in the earthquake-stricken region of Malatya. 117 village houses completed in the Aydınlar neighborhood of Akçadağ district have been handed over to their rightful owners.

Efforts to rebuild the city continue in the earthquake-stricken region of Malatya. In Malatya, where a total of 79 thousand 420 homes and workplaces—consisting of 68 thousand 706 homes and 10 thousand 714 workplaces—are planned to be delivered by the end of 2025, the keys to approximately 27 thousand homes have been handed over following the latest lottery draws. 117 village houses, built in 2 phases in the Aydınlar neighborhood of Akçadağ district, have also been completed and delivered to their rightful owners.

“WE REALLY LIKED OUR HOMES”

Bahattin Araz and Sebahat Araz, a couple who received their homes as a result of the latest lottery draw, said they liked their homes very much.

“WE ARE HAPPY TO HAVE OUR NEW HOME”

Another earthquake survivor, Elvan Ak, stated that they received a new home to replace the one destroyed in the earthquakes, noting that the state stood by its citizens with all its resources during the earthquake process and that they are happy to have moved into their new homes.
