Efforts to contain 2 separate forest fires in Uşak continue
Ground crews are continuing their efforts to contain forest fires that broke out in two separate locations in Uşak.

Uşak Governor Turan Ergün conducted inspections at the site of the forest fire between the villages of Kızılcaören and Kuşdemirler in the Banaz district, and received information from Banaz District Governor Cuma Emeç and Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Senior Colonel Fahri Semiz.
In a statement to reporters at the scene, Governor Ergün said that reports of forest fires were received around 15:50 near the village of Kızılcaören and the village of Kayaağıl, which is connected to the city center.
Stating that the cause of the fires has not yet been determined, Ergün said, "We evacuated 11 houses in our Kızılcaören village as a precaution. There has been a significant response to the fire from both the air and the ground. The fire in Banaz was responded to with 4 helicopters and 2 aircraft. Ground efforts are continuing with 95 vehicles and 309 personnel from Uşak and surrounding provinces. Ground intervention is currently ongoing."
Explaining that ground efforts are also continuing for the fire in Kayaağıl village, Ergün said, "We are responding to the fire in Kayaağıl, which started at the same time, with 44 vehicles and 112 personnel on the ground. 2 helicopters also responded there. We do not have any threat to residential areas here."

Stating that Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı is closely following the developments regarding the fires and that they are in constant contact, Ergün announced that intensive aerial intervention will be carried out again starting tomorrow morning.
Governor Ergün added that a night-vision helicopter is constantly conducting reconnaissance flights to monitor the status of the fires.
An intervention had been launched against the fire that broke out in the forest area between the villages of Kuşdemirler and Kızılcaören with 4 helicopters, 2 aircraft, numerous water tenders, fire trucks, and heavy machinery.
Teams had also been responding intensively to the forest fire that broke out in the Karabol area near the village of Kayaağıl.
