Elderly man accused of setting grassy area on fire in Avcılar flees

A fire broke out in a grassy area near the Ambarlı junction in Avcılar, Istanbul. According to allegations, an elderly man who came to the area in the evening left the scene after setting the grassy area on fire.

As the flames grew quickly, nearby residents reacted to the situation. Fire crews were dispatched to the scene after a report was made.

With the crews’ intervention, the fire was brought under control and extinguished in a short time. The moment the person alleged to have set the grassy area on fire fled, as well as what happened during the blaze, was recorded on a mobile phone camera.
