A forest fire that broke out in the wooded area between the Somak and Karabedirler neighborhoods of Denizli's Çivril district has been brought under control as a result of intensive aerial and ground interventions.
To bring the fire, which was spreading toward residential areas due to the wind, under control, a second helicopter that arrived from Antalya joined the intervention already being carried out by a firefighting helicopter stationed in Denizli.
Both helicopters made repeated sorties until dark, preventing the fire from growing.

The helicopter from Antalya, which intervened until the last moment against the flames that damaged 8 hectares of forest, made an emergency landing due to insufficient fuel at the moment the fire was brought under control. It landed in the Aşağıseyit neighborhood of Çal district, in the area where the Aşağıseyit Sheep Crossing Festival, which is on the UNESCO Cultural Heritage List, is held.
The helicopter's emergency landing caused brief panic in the neighborhood. While it was stated that the helicopter would leave the area after refueling, citizens in the village took souvenir photos with the helicopter.
