Families of couple in divorce proceedings clash in Ankara

The incident occurred in the evening hours at the Türkü 91 Site located on Ahi Mesut Boulevard in the Andiçen neighborhood of Ankara's Sincan district. According to the information received, an argument broke out between the relatives of the couple, who are in the process of divorce.
As the argument escalated, the bride's father, Ç.A., opened fire with a weapon he had brought with him, wounding the groom, H.B.K., the groom's mother, D.K., and the groom's brother, S.K. Ç.A. also assaulted and injured the groom's father, İ.K. The wounded groom, H.B.K., and his brother, S.K., stabbed Ç.A. with a knife they grabbed during the scuffle.
Upon the notification of building residents who heard the gunshots, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. Despite all interventions by medical teams, it was determined that Ç.A., who had been stabbed, had lost his life at the scene.
Medical teams transported the groom H.B.K., who was shot, the groom's mother D.K., the groom's brother S.K., and the groom's father I.K., who was injured by assault, to the hospital by ambulance.
The police investigation into the incident is ongoing.
