Family tragedy on the eve of Eid
In the Kandıra district of Kocaeli, a young girl fell into the sea while trying to take a photo on the rocks. Her father, who jumped into the sea to save his daughter, lost his life, while her brother was rescued at the last moment. The young girl is in critical condition.

According to the information obtained, Havvanur Yavuz, who had come to their summer house with her family at Babalı Beach in the Kandıra district, wanted to take a photo on the rocks. As the young girl's feet slipped and she fell into the sea, her father Mehmet and her brother Ömer Yavuz jumped in after her.
The girl, her father, and her brother were unable to get out of the sea due to the rough waves. Those who noticed the situation notified the 112 Emergency Call Center and requested help. Upon the report, divers, medical teams, and gendarmerie units were dispatched to the area. The young girl, her brother, and her father were pulled from the sea. The three individuals, who underwent prolonged CPR, were rushed to the hospital.
It was learned that father Mehmet Yavuz lost his life despite all interventions. The girl's condition is reported to be critical.
