Father and uncle identified as murder suspects in domestic dispute that killed Eyüp Tiryaki
Following the death of 29-year-old Eyüp Tiryaki in Gaziantep, the father and uncle, who were apprehended as murder suspects following an extensive investigation by the gendarmerie, have been arrested. The investigation also revealed that other family members attempted to destroy evidence and cover up the incident.

Gaziantep Provincial Gendarmerie Command teams launched an extensive investigation into the murder of 29-year-old Eyüp Tiryaki, which occurred on June 22, 2025, in the rural Çiftlik neighborhood of Karkamış district.
Technical surveillance and field work were conducted within the framework of the investigation carried out under the coordination of the Public Prosecutor's Office.
As a result of the work carried out by the Gendarmerie Public Order Teams and JASAT, it was determined that individuals identified as M.T., M.T., M.T., N.T., M.T., A.T., F.Y., B.Y., R.T., B.T., and M.T. had destroyed evidence related to the murder and covered up the incident.
THEY CONFESSED TO BLAMING THE VICTIM'S BROTHER FOR THE MURDER
Teams carried out simultaneous operations at the addresses of the individuals in question to apprehend them. The suspects caught as a result of the operation were taken for cross-examination. During the interrogation, the suspects confessed that they had destroyed evidence of the intentional killing, covered up the crime, obscured the evidence, and had pinned the murder on the victim's brother, I.H.T.
FATHER AND UNCLE ARRESTED AS MURDER SUSPECTS
Following the completion of legal procedures, 11 suspects identified as M.T., M.T., M.T., N.T., M.T., A.T., F.Y., B.Y., R.T., B.T., and M.T. were referred to judicial authorities. Of the suspects who appeared before the judge, the father, M.T., and the uncle, R.T., were arrested, while the other 9 family members, identified as M.T., M.T., N.T., M.T., A.T., F.Y., B.Y., B.T., and M.T., were released under judicial control conditions.
BACKGROUND OF THE INCIDENT
The incident occurred on June 22, 2025, in the rural Çiftlik neighborhood of Karkamış district. Allegedly, an argument broke out for an unknown reason between 29-year-old Eyüp Tiryaki and his older brother, H.T. (30). As the argument turned into a fight, the father, M.T., and other family members also became involved. During the fight, the older brother opened fire on his brother, Eyüp Tiryaki, with a handgun he was carrying. Tiryaki, who was struck by the bullets and taken to Nizip State Hospital after the incident, lost his life despite all interventions. The funeral was buried after the procedures were completed at the Gaziantep Forensic Medicine Institute.
