The incident occurred on March 11 at approximately 01:30 in Türkmen Neighborhood, Bayındır Street. According to the information obtained, Fatma Kara (27) met with her ex-boyfriend, Olgun G. (34), in a park on the street. As the argument between the two escalated, Olgun G. began to beat the woman.

The attacker repeatedly slammed Fatma Kara's head against the asphalt, causing severe injuries. Upon the notification of local residents, police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. The attacker, Olgun G., was apprehended and taken into custody by police teams. Checks performed by medical teams determined that Fatma Kara had lost her life.

The lifeless body of the unfortunate woman was taken to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute following an examination by the prosecutor. After the autopsy procedures, Kara's body was handed over to her family and laid to rest following a funeral ceremony in the Söke district of Aydın.

On the other hand, it was learned that Olgun G. had previously subjected Fatma Kara to violence multiple times, that they had been involved in court cases because of this, and that a restraining order had expired.

It was also learned that the two had met in the park on the night of the incident to talk. In his initial statement, the detained attacker reportedly said, "We drank alcohol, and when an argument broke out, we started hitting each other. I couldn't control myself; when I saw Fatma lying motionless on the ground, I suspected she had died." Olgun G., who was referred to the courthouse after his procedures, was arrested by the court.

"MY SON SEES HIS SISTER LYING ON THE GROUND COVERED IN BLOOD"

Fatma Kara's father, Yılmaz Kara, who is experiencing the pain of losing his child, struggled to recount the moment of the incident.

Kara said, "I called my daughter in the morning, but I couldn't reach her. I called many times, but she didn't answer. I called again at 12:00, and when she didn't answer, I got worried about my daughter and sent my son to the Ödemiş district. My daughter was staying at her sister's house there and looking after her sister's children. Olgun G. is an obsessive individual and was following my daughter. He had already been harassing her for some time.

He had beaten my daughter maybe 7-8 times. Her arm was broken, one day her eye was bruised. When I asked about these, she would make excuses like 'I bumped into a door.' The guy was also threatening her. If he were a normal person, he probably wouldn't do these things. Meanwhile, my daughter went to her friend's house in the same neighborhood for a birthday. She left her phone charging at her sister's house.

As soon as my son arrived in Ödemiş, he first went to his sister's house, and when he saw she wasn't there, he found out where she was and went to her friend's house. While my son was going to the other friend's house in the neighborhood, unfortunately, this individual was coming from the opposite direction. My son also knows this individual. When he passed him on the street, he got suspicious and ran. When he looked at the corner of the neighborhood, he saw his sister lying on the ground covered in blood. The monster who killed my daughter quickly got on his motorcycle and fled," he said.

"INSTEAD OF DRESSING MY CHILD IN A WEDDING DRESS, I DRESSED HER IN A SHROUD"

Yılmaz Kara continued his speech as follows: "My heart is burning so much that when I saw my daughter, her head was literally shattered. As a father, I want to say this. My daughter didn't tell us what she was going through because she was afraid that I and my son would get into trouble. When the pressure from this individual increased, my child went and filed a complaint and obtained a restraining order. That day, he set a trap for my child and beat her brutally on the street. As a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, as a father, I want to appeal to President Erdoğan. I want the death penalty to be brought back. Instead of dressing my 27-year-old child in a wedding dress, I dressed her in a shroud. I buried my child who was as cold as ice. I don't have the strength to stand. While I couldn't bear to hurt my daughter, others hurt my child. No mother or father has the right to suffer like this. You raise them like a lamb from infancy to marriage age, to the age of a wedding dress, but an obsessive individual comes and tears your child away from you. He plucks a young flower. My heart is burning like embers. It is a very bad atrocity, a very bad incident."

"HER MOTHER HAD ENTRUSTED HER TO ME"

Çiğdem Duran, a relative who raised Fatma Kara and said that her mother, who passed away in previous years, had entrusted Fatma to her, stated, "There is truly no description for this pain. He took my life. Her mother had entrusted her to me. I was able to look after her trust until she was 27 years old.

This is not humanity, it is something else. He ruined my child. He took my child away from me. She was already living with me. Her mother had entrusted her to me. She used to buy me gifts on Mother's Day.

My child used to say to me, 'You are like my mother.' While I couldn't bear to hurt her, she was put into the cold earth. I never wanted a single hair on her head to be harmed. May no one else's heart burn anymore. I want the death penalty to be brought back. May no mother be left without a child," she said.

The investigation initiated regarding the incident is ongoing.
