Fire breaks out at tomato paste factory

A fire broke out around 11:30 AM in the cooling tower of a tomato paste factory located in the Karakova neighborhood of İzmir's Ödemiş district. Upon noticing the fire, employees immediately notified the authorities. Following the report, fire, medical, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene.

While three fire trucks intervened in the blaze, a water tanker belonging to the Ödemiş Municipality also provided support for the extinguishing efforts. As a result of the teams' intensive efforts, the flames were brought under control within one hour.

While an investigation has been launched into the cause of the fire, the teams are continuing their cooling operations.
