Fire panic in Gaziosmanpaşa
A fire that broke out on the roof of a 3-story building in Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul, was extinguished by fire crews. The moments of panic experienced by citizens were captured on camera.

The incident occurred around 22:00 on Osmanbey Street in the Karayolları neighborhood of Gaziosmanpaşa, Istanbul. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out for an unknown reason on the roof of a 3-story building on the street. As flames rose from the roof, residents in the lower floors of the building and in surrounding buildings were evacuated. Upon notification, police, medical, and numerous fire crews were dispatched to the scene. The fire caused great panic among the citizens in the vicinity.
While the police took security measures in the area, the fire was brought under control and extinguished after about an hour of work by the crews.
Meanwhile, the panic and the flames rising from the roof were recorded second by second by mobile phone cameras.
Speaking about the incident, neighborhood resident Murat Tüzün said, "While we were eating ice cream with friends, I suddenly saw the flames rising. People started screaming. Thank God there was no loss of life. We notified the fire department ourselves."
