Forest fire in Aydın brought under control

A fire that broke out in a forested area in the Kuyucak district of Aydın has been brought under control following aerial and ground intervention by teams.
The fire occurred around 14:00 near Gencelli Neighborhood. Upon receiving reports from citizens who saw flames rising from the forest, forestry and firefighting teams were dispatched to the area via the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Reaching the scene shortly after the report, teams from the Muğla Regional Directorate of Forestry and personnel from the Aydın Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department began their intervention.
Efforts to prevent the flames from spreading continued for a long time. It was reported that the fire was brought under control as a result of the intensive intervention by the teams.
An official statement regarding cooling efforts in the region and an investigation into the cause of the fire are expected.
