Forest fire in Edirne: Villages are being evacuated
Hundreds of citizens have been evacuated in a forest fire in Edirne where the flames have reached massive proportions.

A fire that broke out in Büyükevren Village in the Enez district of Edirne continues to intensify. The fire, which has reached massive proportions, is threatening numerous residential areas. Many of the settlements near the forest area have been engulfed by the flames.
Upon notification, numerous firefighting teams were dispatched to the scene. Efforts to intervene in the flames are ongoing with the support of teams arriving from neighboring provinces.
In the region where the wind has increased in intensity, the speed of the fire continues to grow. The frightening sight of the flames illuminating the darkness of the night can be seen from kilometers away.
