Governor's office launches investigation into consecutive dog deaths
Following a series of dog deaths in the village of Hisarardı in the Yalvaç district of Isparta, the Isparta Governor's Office has launched an investigation into the matter.

In the Yalvaç district of Isparta, in the village of Hisarardı, over the past few days, the consecutive deaths of dogs have caused great alarm in the villageinitiated. Speaking on the subject, village headmanHasan Aydın stated that he had been requestinghelp regarding stray dogs for a longtime, saying, "In myvillage, there have been consecutive dog deaths in recent days,and there are allegations of poisoning. I made an officialapplication regarding this situation 3 months ago."I filed my complaint. There are manystray dogs in our village. With those coming from the district, those returning from the fields, and those giving birth on the road, the numberincreases with eachpassing day.I have previously reported to the authoritiesmultiple times that the dogs with puppies on the road posed a riskof running towards vehicles and motorcycles. I requested that the puppies and their mothers be collected,he said. Aydın stated that everyone, including the YalvaçMunicipality, claimed, 'We do not have the vehicle,we do not have the means,'he added.stated that they 'have no information'.
"PLACED INSHELTERSDEATHS"
Stating that dogs were collected in 37 villages, but that the situation in his own village was not like this,Muhtar Aydın said, "N ot a single dog was taken from our village. In 37 villages...The village's dogs were collected,only our villageremained," he stated.
Aydın said, "We want these puppies and their mothers to be collected and takento a safeshelter.We want them to be cared for there.let them be cared for and fed. Otherwise, if a few dogs died today,tomorrow more than 400could die. They should come, collect the dogs, and place them in shelters. Right now, in4 or 5 differentpoints in the village,both adultdogs and puppies are dying.dogs, including puppies, are being found," he said.
In a statement regarding the investigation launched by the Isparta Governor's Office, it wasstated that, "In ourYalvaç district,in our village of Hisarardı,regarding the incidentsallegedly occurringAn investigation has been launched by our governor's office regarding the suspicious deaths of stray animals.Within the scope of the investigation, a committee composed of personnel from relevant institutions is continuing its work in the aforementionedvillage.The matter is being closely monitored by our governor's office, and depending on the results of the investigation,the necessaryactions will be taken," the statement read.
