According to the information obtained, the incident took place on July 13 on Karataş Boulevard in the Sinanpaşa neighborhood of the central Yüreğir district.

Allegedly, S.P. (29) choked Özgür Dolaş on the boulevard, claiming that Dolaş had taken his phone. This situation was captured on a motorcycle rider's helmet camera. With the help of bystanders, the fight was prevented from escalating. Özgür Dolaş, who was choked, stated that the incident was greatly misunderstood and explained the reason for the fight.

Dolaş stated that S.P. was his friend and had been released from prison 10 days ago, saying, "We took a few laps in the car to take a friend who had been released from prison about 10 days ago for a ride. While we were driving, he made disturbing remarks toward young girls we saw on the road. He used expressions like 'Oh, how beautiful'."

I warned him, saying 'don't do it, I have a daughter too.' After a while, he rolled down the car window and started secretly recording the girls' legs with his mobile phone. I could not remain silent about this. I stopped the car, took the phone from his hand, and wanted to take it to the police station. However, while my back was turned, he grabbed my throat and knocked me to the ground. During the struggle, he managed to get the phone back. When citizens came to help, he fled the scene," he said.

Pointing out that he also has a daughter, Dolaş continued as follows:

"I also have a daughter. It is unacceptable for such people to go out and eye our sisters. If I had turned a blind eye to it, I would have been ashamed of myself. I am the person being assaulted in the footage taken during the incident. I saved my neck at the last moment; otherwise, he could have strangled me. I could not file a complaint because I could not catch him."
