In the Melikgazi district of Kayseri, a man stabbed and killed his wife, who was in the process of divorcing him, in the middle of the street after calling her to talk. The suspect, who fled after the incident, was apprehended by police teams.

According to the information obtained, the incident occurred on Ortahisar Street in the Selimiye neighborhood, where R.A. called his wife, who was in the process of divorcing him, to talk. Rabia A., who had reportedly just returned from work, went down to speak with him when an argument broke out between the two for reasons yet unknown.
As the argument escalated into a fight, R.A. wounded Rabia A. in the throat with a knife he had with him. Upon notification, numerous police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.
While police teams took security measures in the vicinity, medical teams determined during their initial intervention that Rabia A. had lost her life.
The suspect R.A., who fled after the incident, was caught and taken into custody by police teams. Following the examinations, Rabia A.'s lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue.
An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
