An individual who entered a bank in Fatih with a weapon robbed 112 thousand TL. Police teams have launched an operation to apprehend the suspect, who dropped a portion of the stolen money while fleeing.

The incident occurred around 17:00 at a bank branch located on Atatürk Boulevard in the Hacı Kadın neighborhood of Fatih.
According to the information obtained, the individual, who threatened employees with a weapon after entering the bank, took a sum of money and fled the scene.
While fleeing, the robber collided with another citizen and dropped a portion of the money on the ground.
The individual continued to flee with the remaining money in his possession.
The citizen he collided with collected the money that had been dropped and returned it to the bank.
It was stated that the returned money amounted to approximately 80 thousand liras.
Checks performed by bank employees revealed that 32 thousand liras were missing.
APPREHENDED AT HIS HOME
Police teams affiliated with the Istanbul Police Department launched a large-scale investigation for the suspect who fled the scene with the remaining money.
Police teams identified the individual's address and conducted an operation.
The apprehended suspect was taken into custody and brought to the Public Security Branch Directorate in Gayrettepe.
Searches conducted at the suspect's home revealed that the weapon seized belonged to a security guard. The interrogation of the suspect, identified as Ş.K., is ongoing at the police station.
