In a fraud operation conducted across 3 provinces centered in Istanbul, accountant Mesut A., who caused a 122 million lira loss to the firm he worked for, and 19 suspects connected to him were apprehended. The suspect, who spent 5 million lira of the embezzled money on his girlfriend's plastic surgery and lost 60 million lira in gambling, and who stated "I am not regretful" in his testimony, has been referred to the courthouse along with his accomplices.

In an operation carried out by the Fraud Bureau of the Istanbul Police Department's Public Security Branch under the coordination of the Gaziosmanpaşa Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, accounting staff member M.A., who caused a 122 million lira loss to the company he worked for by transferring company payments to his own accounts and those of his relatives, was apprehended along with 19 connected suspects. During simultaneous operations conducted on September 4 in Istanbul, Sinop, and Tokat, unlicensed weapons were seized, the suspects' bank accounts were frozen, and 5 properties and 12 vehicles were confiscated.

On the other hand, within the scope of the work carried out by the Fraud Bureau of the Public Security Branch, it was determined that Mesut A., who worked as an accountant at an IT consulting firm, had been employed at the company between 2021 and 2026, and during this period, he transferred 122 million TL that came to the company to his own accounts and those of his relatives.

It was learned that Mesut A. is married but in the process of divorce and also has a girlfriend; it was revealed that he spent 5 million TL on his girlfriend's plastic surgery operations, had a house built in her name, and footage emerged of him enjoying himself with his girlfriend in nightclubs and casinos. In the work carried out by the teams, it was determined that there was 10 million TL in the account of Mesut A.'s girlfriend, Ş.Y.
He lost approximately 60 million TL in gambling
While it emerged that Mesut A. gambled in Georgia and Cyprus and lost approximately 60 million TL, it was learned that the 19 suspects detained in connection with the incident included Mesut A., his mother, his father, his wife who is in the process of divorce, his girlfriend, and people he worked with at the company.

On the other hand, it was learned that the company owner, who examined the documents, noticed the embezzlement and fired Mesut A., subsequently filing a complaint. Meanwhile, it was learned that precautionary measures were placed on 12 vehicles and 5 properties belonging to the suspects, and the suspects' bank accounts were blocked. Mesut A. stated in his police testimony that he was not regretful. The 19 detained suspects were referred to the courthouse.
