B.B.K., who was brutally beaten by 4 people in Kocaeli over allegations of domestic violence against his wife, spoke for the first time and denied all claims. Stating that he did not commit violence against his wife and that he was beaten for 40 minutes based on hearsay, B.B.K. filed a complaint against the individuals. B.B.K.'s wife also stated that she was not subjected to violence and that they only had an argument.

R.R.K., who lives in the Şirintepe neighborhood of the İzmit district, filed for divorce after allegedly being subjected to violence by her husband, B.B.K. Upon hearing that the woman had been subjected to violence, individuals identified as F.Ç., O.A., B.A., and E.Y. took B.B.K. under the Şirintepe Viaduct and beat him severely.
The youths also recorded those moments with a mobile phone camera. Acting upon the footage of the beating, teams from the Kocaeli Provincial Police Department detained 4 people. The 4 suspects, whose statements were taken, were referred to the courthouse.
Regarding the incident, F.Ç. was arrested, while the other 3 individuals were released under judicial control conditions.
RELATIVES OF THE BEATEN INDIVIDUAL RAIDED THE WORKPLACE
Following the incident, relatives of the beaten B.B.K. raided the workplace of the individuals. The fight, which took place across from the Çeneyusu National Garden, was reflected on an amateur camera second by second.
"GOD DOES NOT LET YOU DIE IF IT IS NOT YOUR TIME"
B.B.K., who stated that he is 19 years old, said, "Videos of me being beaten were shared on social media. Today, news reports were published saying, 'He was beaten because he committed violence against his wife.' The video is being tried to be pulled into different contexts unrelated to the incident. The video has nothing to do with the allegation that I beat my wife.
These suspects are people I know from the neighborhood. It never crossed my mind that they would do such a thing. They called me to talk; I had no idea about anything.
They hit me while I was talking. When I collapsed to the ground, they attacked me. 3 people attacked me, and one person recorded the video. They beat me for 40 minutes.
Supposedly, they beat me because I beat my wife. However, there is no such thing; I did not beat my wife. The people who beat me were people I greeted in the neighborhood.
They learned about the violence incident through hearsay. They beat me severely, but God does not let you die if it is not your time. I am filing a complaint against all of them," he said.
"I ONLY TOLD HOW THE INCIDENT HAPPENED"
Stating that her husband did not beat her, R.R.K. (20) said, "I had taken a video during the commotion while I was arguing with my husband. My husband did not commit violence against me.
I have no complaint against my husband. I only told how the incident happened. I did not tell anyone to beat him or record a video," she said.
