Imam commits suicide in the mosque where he served

The incident occurred in the village of Çeşnigir in the Boyabat district. According to the information obtained, Ö.K. (31), who served as an imam at the village mosque, committed suicide in the mosque where he worked due to problems he was experiencing within his family.
Upon the notification of citizens, health and security teams were dispatched to the scene. In the examination conducted by the health teams, it was determined that Ö.K. had lost his life. The lifeless body of Ö.K. was taken to the morgue of Boyabat 75th Year State Hospital.
It was learned that the imam, who was registered to the population of Kaplangı village in the Durağan district, had been appointed to Çeşnigir village about three months ago and was a father of one child. An investigation into the incident has been initiated.
