Plainclothes police teams, who went to the scene following a report that shots were being fired into the air at a wedding in the Akşehir district of Konya, caught the suspect red-handed.
The incident occurred at a wedding held next to the Halk Ekmek Bakery in the Yeni neighborhood. Following the report, plainclothes teams were dispatched to the wedding venue.
The police teams monitored the wedding for a while to avoid drawing attention. During this time, Y.A., who was identified as firing shots into the air, was apprehended with the weapon in his possession and taken into custody.
Legal proceedings were initiated against Y.A. for "violation of Law No. 6136" and "intentionally endangering public safety." After being processed at the police station, the suspect was referred to the courthouse and released by the court under judicial control conditions.
