Istanbul Provincial Health Director announces: 829 people went to hospitals on the first day of the holiday

Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner announced that a total of 829 people were admitted to hospitals on the first day of Eid al-Adha, with 53 people injured in traffic accidents and 776 people injured during the animal sacrifice process.

Istanbul Provincial Health Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Emre Güner stated in a post on his social media account, "Today in Istanbul, 53 of our citizens were admitted to our hospitals due to traffic accidents, and 776 of our citizens were admitted due to injuries related to animal sacrifice. Unfortunately, a female citizen who was in the area where the sacrifice was being performed suffered a heart attack and passed away at the hospital to which she was taken."

Güner expressed his condolences to the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured, emphasizing that it is of great importance that the animal sacrifice is carried out by experts under appropriate and safe conditions.

He also called on citizens to be careful for both their own safety and the health of those around them.
