Machete-wielding attacker causes terror in Hatay: In front of earthquake-survivor children
A man who drove his vehicle at high speed through a group of children waiting to board buses for a football tournament went into a rage after being warned by nearby parents. After shouting, 'Wait, I'll be back in a minute,' the man returned shortly after with a machete and launched an attack on the families and children.

In an incident in the Defne district of Hatay, a man entered a crowd of children and their families wielding a machete and attacked an individual.
A group of 200 people, consisting of children and their families waiting in front of the Defne Atatürk Football Field to travel to a football tournament in Bolu, experienced moments of terror.
Parents who reacted to the vehicle that sped past the children while they were waiting to board the bus were met with the threat from the driver: "Wait, I'll be back in a minute."
About 15 minutes later, the attacker walked toward the children and families on foot, brandishing the machete he was carrying in a threatening manner.
The machete-wielding man attacked a parent who tried to stop him, injuring him in the arm.
While footage of the man walking through the crowd amidst the terrified screams of children and families and returning to his vehicle was captured on camera, families, distressed that their children—who are already psychologically affected by the earthquake—were exposed to such violence, shared the incident on social media to ensure the attacker receives the punishment he deserves.
