Mall employees who denied entry to child with Down syndrome detained
In the Etimesgut district of Ankara, 5 mall employees who refused to allow a child with Down syndrome into a play area have been detained. It was revealed that the same mall employees had also denied entry to a child with autism on April 1.

After a child with Down syndrome was not allowed into a play area at a mall in Ankara, their teacher, Sevcan Odabaşı Karakurt, reported the business and its employees to the police.
Police teams notified the victim's family about the matter and began proceedings. It was learned that this incident had occurred at the play area previously as well.
It was learned that the mall employees had also denied entry to a child with autism on Tuesday, April 1, and that following this, the mother of the autistic child, G.K.K., reported the incident to the Ministry of Family and Social Services and subsequently filed a complaint at the police station.
Following instructions from the Public Prosecutor, the manager in charge of the play area, E.G., and 4 female employees were detained.
It was learned that the detained individuals will be referred to court after their processing at the police station.
