Man shoots and kills his wife, a mother of five
In the Darıca district of Kocaeli, a man shot and killed his wife, a mother of five, with a pump-action shotgun.

The incident occurred at a house on Eray Street in the Nene Hatun neighborhood of Darıca district. A dispute broke out between Şener A. (60) and his wife, Hazal A., for reasons yet unknown.
Following the escalation of the argument, Şener A. grabbed a pump-action shotgun, opened fire, and fled the scene. Neighbors who heard the noise notified the 112 Emergency Call Center.
Upon the report, health and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The medical teams that arrived shortly after determined that the woman, a mother of five who was targeted by the gunfire, had lost her life.
Following the examinations conducted by the crime scene investigation team and the prosecutor, the woman's body was taken to the hospital morgue for an autopsy.
The suspect, who had fled, later surrendered to the police. It is alleged that the individual was receiving psychiatric treatment and had previously stabbed his wife, for which he had served time in prison.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
