Man shoots his ex-wife's new husband with a pump-action shotgun

In the Altındağ district of Ankara, a man shot and wounded his ex-wife's husband with a pump-action shotgun.

According to allegations, a man who came to his ex-wife's house in the Altındağ district hid under tree branches and waited for Ramazan İşler, the man his ex-wife had married, to leave the house. The suspect shot İşler in the hip with a pump-action shotgun as he exited the house and then fled. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. İşler was taken to the hospital after receiving initial intervention.

“HE WAS SCREAMING 'THEY SHOT MY HUSBAND'"

Mother Güllüşah İşler, who said she came out of the house thinking someone was shooting at the dogs when she heard the noise, stated, "I heard my daughter-in-law's voice and went out. She was screaming, 'They shot my husband.' When I heard the gunshot, I initially thought they had shot the dogs. I went out when I heard my daughter-in-law. I looked and saw my son and daughter-in-law on the ground. I brought a blanket and a pillow, and they laid him face down on the ground. His thigh was shattered, and his color had turned pale. I only saw the man running away. He had hidden under the branches. It was my daughter-in-law's ex-husband. He wouldn't leave them alone. There was another injury incident before, and they had gone to the police station," she said.

"A PERSON WAS RUNNING AWAY"

Fırat Reis, who was sitting at the neighborhood barbershop at the time of the incident and arrived at the scene after the gunshots, said, "I heard shouting. I thought it was the sound of students leaving school, but then I heard a gunshot. I started running toward where the gunshot came from. When I arrived, one person was lying on the ground, and another was running away. I went to the injured person. I saw that he was wounded in the upper hip area. Then we called the ambulance and the police," he said.

The police have launched an investigation to capture the fleeing suspect.
