Üzeyir Kasap, the Mayor of Karamık Karacaören in the Çay district of Afyonkarahisar, was involved in a traffic accident near the town of Tatarlı in the Dinar district.
A semi-truck, whose driver and license plate could not yet be identified, rear-ended the car Kasap was driving.
Following the accident, health and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Üzeyir Kasap, who sustained minor injuries, was taken by ambulance to the Afyonkarahisar Health Sciences University Hospital.
