Military personnel takes own life with service weapon
In Gümüşhane, a 28-year-old military member took his own life with his service weapon in the basement of an apartment building.

The incident occurred during the night hours in the basement of an apartment building located on 15 Şubat Street in the İnönü neighborhood.
According to the information obtained, military personnel A.C.S. (28) shot himself in the head with his service weapon in the basement of the apartment for reasons yet to be determined.
Upon the notification of citizens who heard the gunshot, health and numerous police teams were dispatched to the scene.
Medical teams transported A.C.S. to Gümüşhane State Hospital in critical condition following initial intervention at the scene. A.C.S., who was learned to be married and a father of one child, could not be saved despite all interventions.
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
